Tour Guide

On this tour, we made it possible to connect two totally different adventures and landscapes in one day, the panoramic ride above the sea and Rivera on one side and the largest lake on the Balkan peninsula, Skadar lake on the other.

This journey begins with a panoramic ride around the coast where the first photo stop will be above the famous islet Sveti Stefan. The islet itself is quite exclusive because it belongs to the Aman Resorts, even from the above view on it it is amazing and easy to conclude why it is the worldwide jet-set with its unique architecture and location. We have a chance to visit and feel its magic from the inside. That part of the tour is for our guests to decide, and their request has already been made.

After a short drive, we continue to our next stop Manastir Rezevici. This complex is assumed to be built in 1226. although the exact date is still unknown. Here we will take a walk through its churches (Uspenje Bogorodice and Saint Trinity) and the monastery itself. The churches are known for their fresco paintings and beautiful gardens that we will enjoy, and the monastery is under the protection of UNESCO.

The path leads us further to Petrovacka Gora with a few photo viewpoints, after which we head towards our main event of the day, the visit of Lake Skadar and the old fisherman’s village Virpazar. The village is situated in the National Park Skadar Lake, and it’s also called “a town on three bridges”. As you approach Virpazar, the picturesque scenery unfolds before your eyes. The quaint village, with its traditional stone houses and colorful facades, exudes a sense of charm and authenticity. Located at the crossroads of ancient trade routes, Virpazar is steeped in history, serving as a vital link between the mountainous interiors and the coastal regions. Here, the warm hospitality of the locals welcomes you, inviting you to explore the unique treasures that this hidden gem has to offer.

From here we’ll embark on a boat trip on a unique lake ride, where you will be able to end encounter with the flora and fauna of this paradise-rich habitat of many birds, fish, and plant endemic species. Here’s the part where you’re going to realize why it is also called the International Birds Airport. Its crystal-clear waters shimmer in shades of turquoise and emerald, reflecting the surrounding mountains and skies. As you glide across the tranquil waters on a traditional wooden boat, the serenity of Skadarsko Jezero envelops you. The gentle lapping of the waves and the soft rustle of reeds create a symphony of nature that soothes the soul.

After this adventure, we’ll fill our free time with fish specialties on the shores of the lake. For our way back, we are choosing another way also rich in interesting scenic landscapes.
